The History object interface is used to access the user’s browsing history in order to create scripted navigation and manipulate the URL address bar when needed.


length – returns the number of items in the browsing session history.

state – returns a reference to the state object at the top of the history stack.


back() – go back one page.

forward() – go forward one page.

go() – go multiple pages according to given number.

pushState() – create a new state object.

replaceState() – update the current state object.
